As the title suggested, how do we get productive during this ongoing pandemic that doesn’t seem to end anytime soon? I’m writing this while reminiscing about the times when we get to go out freely with our loved ones, explore and discover new places when there weren’t any travel bans and lockdowns being imposed. While social distancing and wearing face masks swiftly becoming the new norms these days, we are all encouraged to stay indoors as much as possible as long as the pandemic is still here, health is our first priority! We might as well make the most out of this pandemic despite we are just staying at home most of the time, so how to be productive during time like this?
If you ask me, one of the productive things I do is to make a healthy breakfast every morning! I don’t think there’s any better way to kick start your day other than starting your day with a great breakfast. Some people do claim that having a healthy breakfast actually jump-start your metabolism, though this isn’t scientifically proven but I truly believe one will have a good day when he starts his day with a good breakfast. Some of the healthy breakfast ideas would be oatmeal, yogurt with fruits, banana pancakes and fruits with toasts! These breakfasts won’t take you too long to make and I guarantee you they taste so bomb because I personally make them every single day!
Without a doubt, most people started to pick up new hobbies during lockdown periods including yours truly. Surprisingly, doing workouts has become one of my favorite activities to do on daily basis and it’s affecting both my mental and physical health in the most positive way. It goes without saying that working out will only bring you benefits no matter what because moving your body in all sorts of ways helps to improve blood circulation. From my experiences, my mental health has improved and I definitely feel more vibrant throughout the day whenever I get my morning workout fix. Moreover, incorporate exercise into your daily life will increase serotonin production in your brain which boosts your energy level at all times, you will feel less fatigue and your wellbeing will be improved in general. I know starting is always the hardest but better start now or later than never!
Another hobby that I’ve picked up in the midst of this pandemic is reading. Strangely, I’ve came to realized how essential reading books is as I grow older because Oh hell I was that that lazy bum who lazed on my bed while scrolling my phone all day. Unquestionably, reading changes my perspectives or mindsets on things in life in a good way! Believe it or not, sometimes the most powerful knowledge can actually be obtained from books so all you have to do is to pick them up and read! I personally find self improvement and personal development books are super insightful and they broaden my horizons unexpectedly. Since we are in the midst of the pandemic, I think it is a good timing to pick up something to read and be productive. Here are some of my book recommendations if you are interested to check them out! They are Outliers, the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and the Four Agreements! Hope you’ll gain something knowledgeable from this activity just like how I did. Stay productive people!
